By Public Transit:

You can easily reach the museum by public transportation:

CT Transit’s 204 (Formerly the F Line) bus to East Haven/Branford passes within a few blocks of the trolley museum.  Tell the driver you wish to disembark at the East Haven Green.

They’ll be sure to announce it. Once at the Green, walk to the south side, along the cemetery, which is River Street. Follow River St. away from downtown 3 blocks to the end of the street – this is where the museum is located. Total walking time from the Green to the museum is 5-10 minutes.

Via Metro-North or Amtrak:

Disembark Metro-North or Amtrak train at New Haven Union Station. Proceed to the street side of the station and wait for/board the Union Station Shuttle bus – it’s painted lime green. The shuttle runs on a 15 minute loop. Ask the driver where at the New Haven Green to transfer to the 204 (Formerly the F Line) bus to East Haven/Branford.

Transfer to the 204 (Formerly the F Line) CT Transit bus, then follow the bus directions above.
