Explore the opportunities!
We do all types of work at the Trolley Museum – not only do we operate trolley cars for the public to ride on and learn about, but we maintain trolley equipment, repair signals, build and upgrade track, digitize records in our archive, and much more. All of this work is accomplished by volunteers – folks young and old who donate their time and expertise to help us meet our mission and have fun!
If you’ve ever thought about “workin’ on the railroad,” join us on Saturday, January 17 starting at 10:30AM for our Volunteer Open House. Several of our volunteer leaders will be on hand to answer your questions and take you on a tour of our facilities. Did you know that every one of our 65+ trolley car operators is a volunteer? The open house is a great opportunity to learn more about what our operators do and to sign up for our operator training class which will be held in the late winter and early spring. We also expect to have leaders representing signal, track, building & grounds, publicity & marketing, and trolley maintenance to speak with as well. No prior experience needed – we’re experts at teaching you the skills you need to know!
Questions? Call 203-467-6927 x5 weekdays after Jan. 1, or email info@shorelinetrolley.org.
We look forward to meeting you soon!
