Regular museum admission rates include admission to the Arts Exhibits and Storytelling on the museum grounds, and All Day Rides on the Trolleys! Suitable for all ages.
Shoreline Arts Alliance and The Shore Line Trolley Museum are teaming up for a September 14th Afternoon (1-4pm) Art show combining arts and historic trolleys for a fun afternoon. The trolley museum grounds and the antique trolleys themselves are the backdrop for artwork from the talented artists associated with the Shoreline Arts Alliance.
There will be storytelling by Connecticut Storytelling Center artists: Lauren Mendoza, Carolyn Stearns, and Martha Bishop and Margie Warner. The Connecticut Storytelling Center (CSC) was founded in 1984 to provide the means for people of all ages to experience story telling as a means for expression, communication, teaching and learning in diverse societies and environments. CSC also sponsors: The Annual Connecticut Storytelling Festival at Connecticut College; Schools Programs, pARTners in education showcase and a series of storytelling concerts, Tellabration.
The Shoreline Actors Collective as part of the youth-based theater company Kidz Konnection sponsors classes in improvisation, musical theater, television news reporting, acting and production. Actors will be walking through the trolleys and grounds performing Shakespeare and other skits.
Connecticut based artist Adam Wallenta illustrated over 40 children’s books, hundreds of comic books and album covers. He is the illustrator and co-writer of the official Public Enemy comic book series, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame musician Chuck D’s book, “The Super-villain Field Manual” and the “Cool Sports Dad”, “Mom Rules”, “Dad Rules” and “Grandma Rules” series. Adam will have copies of his educational science comic book series “Geo” available free to kids.
Anthony Paolucci created over 30 titles and a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers & Illustrators. Ranging from preschool to adult, his stories embody a wide variety of subjects and themes. His daughter Eden Rain and wife Christine served as inspirations for many of his award winning projects.
